What's new at the Rust Powers Foundation

Scholarships Awarded to Duck Creek Eagle Scouts

The Rust Powers Foundation’s primary mission is to improve the wellbeing and education of deserving children and youth. With this mission as its focus, the Foundation has awarded three college scholarships to Eagle Scouts from Duck Creek District which serves the geographic area of the Garland Independent School District. These Scouts exemplify perseverance, leadership, and community service.

The following students, their high school, university, scholarship type, and year awarded are listed below:

  • Tanner Sanderson, Lakeview Centennial High School, Texas A & M University; 2 scholarships: Academic/Need and Outstanding Eagle Scout Service Project, 2019

  • Benjamin Caleb Scott, Lakeview Centennial High School, University of Houston, Academic/Need, 2018

  • Jacob Pittman, North Garland High School, Texas Tech University, Academic/Need, 2018

 

The Foundation hopes these scholarships will help these outstanding youth reach their education goals.
